'"Beauty and the Beast'" is a song written by Howard Ashman and composed by Alan Menken, and originally recorded by actress Angela Lansbury for Disney's 1991 animated feature film Beauty and the Beast. The song was later re-recorded as a duet by Celine Dion with Peabo Bryson. "Beauty and the Beast" was released as the first single from Dion's 1992 self-titled sophomore album Celine Dion.
